Wadi Jehaish, Masafer Yatta, Occupied Palestine
After breakfast and my first ever glass of hot sweetened ewe's milk, we took the herd to pasture.
The sheep can't go out very far. Together the army and the settlers have made the pastoral lifestyle almost impossible.
When this farmer protested to the soldiers about settler attacks - after having been badly beaten - the army advised him to leave, to spend a month in the
nearby town of Yatta.
But even if the family could leave, (what would they do with their sheep?) without a constant presence here, settlers will eradicate this hamlet... and replace it with a factory farm.
